SUSPENSION
Our custom-built front and rear double wishbone suspension system, coupled with our built in compound angle chassis geometry, delivers an exceptionally stable ride. This eliminates the typical 'bucking-bronco' effect experienced in other Cobras during hard braking and acceleration, ensuring a smoother and more controlled driving experience.
BRAKES
We use racing grade brake calipers, machined from solid aluminum billet with a 6-POT front and a 4-POT rear configuration. This combined with ventilated BMW rotors, delivers the stopping power expected from a high-performance car.
WHEELS
Halibrand pattern, 5 pin knock-on, wide aluminum racing wheels are fitted standard.
EXHAUST
Polished stainless steel side exhausts and heat shields are fitted standard.
CHASSIS
Our chassis is made from tubular mild steel, subjected to sandblasting, etch priming, and finished with marine-grade paint ensuring its longevity. Its carefully engineered for optimal strength while prioritizing a lightweight and nimble design and has undergone rigorous finite element analysis, affording our customers the utmost confidence in its structural integrity and their overall safety.
ENGINE
We offer a range of high-performance engines, including the iconic Chevrolet and Ford small block V8s, the Ford 351W, and extended versions like the Roush 427. Additionally, we offer the latest in Chevrolet's LS engine lineup, such as the potent LS3.
ENGINE COOLING
Our naturally aspirated engines are paired with a custom-built aluminum radiator. We match the radiator precisely to your choice of engine, ensuring optimal performance and cooling.
TRANSMISSION
Manual or automatic transmissions can be fitted to our Cobra. Our automatic option includes a ratchet-type shifter for quick gear changes, eliminating the need for heavy clutch pedals that can often be associated with powerful V8 engines.
STEERING
Our Cobras feature the classic rack and pinion steering system, just like the original AC Cobras. Available in both left and right-hand drive configurations, each Cobra comes equipped with an authentic wood-rimmed steering wheel for that genuine vintage touch.
INSTRUMENTS
In our commitment to authenticity, we outfit all our vehicles with original AC Cobra Smiths instrumentation. We also fit electronic speedometers and rev counters to modernize our Cobra.
ELECTRONICS
The usual 12 volt negative earth system is installed and the car is supplied fully wired. We fit the same type of windscreen wiper motor assembly as was on the original AC Cobra.
INTERIOR
Our standard interior design pays homage to the iconic AC Cobra, offering a nostalgic look and feel. Crafted exclusively with top-grade leather and premium automotive carpeting, we meticulously color-match the trim to complement your chosen body color. We've also enhanced the interior space by dropping the seat height by 101mm (4 inches) to comfortably accommodate taller occupants, ensuring those up to two meters tall can enjoy a spacious cockpit. Our seat slider also eases seat adjustment allowing for both forward and backwards movement.
FUEL TANK
Our Cobra features a 60-liter (15 US gallon) fuel tank constructed from marine-grade aluminum alloy and Internally baffled for enhanced stability during cornering.
BODY AND EXTERIOR
Our corrosion-proof fiberglass Cobra bodies are prepared by our professionals and painted to perfection using top-quality automotive paints. Additionally we use polished stainless steel for external fittings like bumpers, roll-over bars, and silencers. Our lights come from trusted, long-term suppliers and are well suited for night-time driving.
